The Inner Senshi are the Royalty of the System, the consist of Mercury, Venus, Earth, The Moon, Mars, and Jupiter. The Moon is the center of Royalty throughout the system, and has seemingly always bred the most powerful Senshi in the system, and in some cases the Universe.
The Outer Senshi are the defenders of the System. They make sure that nothign evil from outside the solar system enters. They too fight for good, and to destroy evil as well. They tend to be more readily able to fight, that is until the later years when the Inners step up their perormance. They Consist of Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
The Asteroid Senshi are from the small asteroid/planetoids in the system. They are the four major ones, and they represent the same duties as the Inner Senshi when the next generation of Royalty takes the throne. They were once evil, but were swayed to good by the power of Sailor Moon.
The Elemental Senshi come from another dimension. They were created by Reenie and are reborn in our system. They each control an elemtnal force.
The Starlight Senshi were
travellers from anothe Solar System. They fight for the good of others,
as well as, trying to save their princess from the evil clutches of Sailor
Chaos.
